Are you trying to be as productive as possible in building your business and doing the key things it takes to create results or are you busy being busy?
It takes consistent effort on productive things to make our businesses work, but, I know often times I find myself in the trap of busy being busy. Exactly what does that mean… you know being busy all day doing things but not the things that are productive in building your business you were…
Busy Being Busy!
- Busy reading and posting on facebook
- Busy reading emails
- Busy reading the latest posts on your favorite mlm blog
- Busy reviewing your compensation plan
- Busy reading your favorite mlm magazine
- Busy watching your companies latest video for the 5th time
- Busy following twitter posts
- Busy searching the internet for a new lead source
- Busy chatting on skype, yahoo, or msn
- Busy managing our downline charts
- Busy reading our companies back office
- Busy looking at our genealogy for the 10th time today
When we are doing all of these things, while we may pick up tidbits of information hear and there, and often times they are necessary, all too often we get caught up in doing all this stuff rather than doing things that will produce results for our business, in other words we were just busy being “busy”. It’s not to hard in this great big world of the internet to get caught up in all that, but unfortunately while we feel we had a long and busy day, in the end we didn’t do anything that would produce results in our business.
To get your business to grow, you need to spend most of your time, especially if it is limited by work and other things to doing those activities that WILL help you build and grow your business and then with any time left, read our facebook pages, chat on skype with our friends about our activities, and stuff like that.
What should be doing to build our business?
- Driving Traffic to our Websites (ie: marketing)
- Placing Ads or Sending Emails or your favorite method of generating leads
- Following up with your prospects
- Connecting with your downline
- 3 Way calls with our upline/downline
- Discussing ways to help the downline with your leaders
All of these things are things that you will be busy at but that will produce results in your business and are some of the most important things you can do for your business, and hopefully you do them on a daily basis and over time and they’ll produce results and help you grow your business to new heights.
So the next time you feel like catching up with the blogs, or facebook, or skyping your friend on how their day is going, let’s make sure you have done things that were productive for your business first so you can have the type of success in your business that you want and try not get caught up in the busy being busy syndrome. Let’s face it, we’ve all been there!
To Prosperity and Happiness,
Rhonda
Continue Reading »Wow, the past few days have been extremely exciting and busy and I really didn’t have the time to get out here and write anything. That’s the problem sometimes, even for someone like myself who loves to talk (just ask anyone who really knows me!) it sometimes is hard to find the time to carve out to write updates or information for our blogs and facebooks pages and other social media avenues. We all only have so much time in a day.
It comes back to setting up a specific time each day or several days in the week to take just a few minutes or so to put any new finds, information, or updates to our blogs and posts. So for that I am guilty of not doing, getting tied up in my other day to day activities and forgetting to stick to that scheduled block of time. So I will do my best to get better on that and hopefully you will too.
I will be putting a note in a more prominent place on this blog, but with the new FTC rulings I wanted to make sure that I mention that from time to time, many of the items I suggest or recommend on my blog are products or services that I am an affiliate or reseller for, meaning commissions are earned whenever someone purchases that service or item from my link. So I wanted to get that out there for all to see. Most, if not all of the products or services that I do recommend are products or services that I have personally used or see as a tremendous tool for those newer to online marketing to use to grow their online incomes.
While I am a firm believer in Network Marketing and the Power of Team Work and residual income, I recommend adding a few affiliate programs to your portfolio for back end sales or sales funnel.
Have an Awesome Day! – Rhonda
