Offering a free version and premium version SnackTools gives you a great way to add professional web widgets to your blog or website.

I have to laugh sometimes because the internet has done such a great thing of helping people reach out and build their business in ways that were never possible before, but at the same time, it has made it more difficult for people building as well. Why? Well it also makes for an abundance of quick money games (that don’t work for the majority of people), and the number of shiny new things popping up all the time, which is hard for those with short attention spans, or those always on the look out for “excitement” , those looking for “quick money”, and those trying to find what they feel will be the “one thing”, “one company”, the “one compensation plan”, the “one system”, the and the “one perfect timing” that will work for them and give the income they are seeking…. the problem, often times they don’t stay in one place long enough to even achieve any type of results in the first place.

The internet makes it so easy for people to get wrapped up in all the garbage that’s out there, often times making them miss the great opportunities in front of them, as they are trying so desperately to get what they feel has been alluding them for so long, and trying everything to find it… but in the end I really believe they end up being their own worst enemy.

I’ll be the first to admit, that sometimes it’s difficult not to get caught up in all of that, joining friends and acquaintanceship that continuously seem to be on the path of something new. Sending you something or calling you with something literally once or twice EVERY week, something new. I laugh now when the new flavor of the week hits my inbox, and I can honestly do the countdown of how long it will take to get 5, 6, 7, 8  emails or more from the same folks who follow this circus maze, the same folks every week… and next week I”ll get another email on the newest hottest thing, and you know what…. I’ll get the same emails from the same people over and over, each promoting how hot this will be (what happened to the one from a few days ago?)it will be followed by the same people sending it to me, each week it’s like musical chairs with the same consistent players, and I know I”ll get a new email from the same ones next week on something totally different with the same promises, and they make it easy for you because it’s almost always free or very low cost so they feel that makes all the difference.  Hmmmm…..

The same players who often aren’t making hardly any income, don’t have any money (yep even though there asking  to just pay a one time $100 fee) but haven’t even paid themselves as they were given a spot by their sponsor simply because they appear to have a large following, etc… the same ones if you send them a Good SOLID opportunity don’t have the time, money, or “room on their plate” to do anything else… but yet, if your on their “list” you’ll notice you get something NEW just about every week from them promising riches, top positions, large spillover, etc… etc… etc.. and if you follow and end up in that vicious circle, you’ll find yourself losing money, banging your head against the wall, and jumping to the next thing they send you trying to find that ONE thing that will work, and then wondering why it didn’t.  And you know, you just need to know when to say stop!

Many of these people will make money in each program, why? As the SAME people keep following them over and over… but you know what? Most are NOT earning a significant income because if they were they would be in ONE place and not continuing to have to start something new over and over and over. They aren’t building relationships, they aren’t building teams, they aren’t building true residual income, they are simply going in circles playing musical chairs with you.

I’ve been there in a similar scenario, one failed prelaunch after another, almost as many in the same amount of years. Just not getting off the ground for a variety of reasons and then closing and leaving myself and hundreds if not thousands of other people looking at the daunting prospect of starting over again. Even if I was making great money in those companies, in the end it doesn’t really make it worth it when you have to keep starting going back to square one.  Why?  Because I insisted it Had to be a prelaunch company, following into that myth that was the only way to give myself and my team a huge benefit…. in the end it wasn’t a benefit at all.  Don’t get me wrong not all prelaunch companies fail, heck, I mean all companies have to start out there, but you know often times its harder to find that young new company that already has the pieces in place, is a diamond in the rough so to speak, and is just waiting for you to find it.

You might find this post odd coming from someone who has multiple sources of income and believes in diversity, but let me explain. There is a difference between online multiple sources of income and hopping on 3,4,5,6 new programs a month trying to build and grow with them.   I focus and build ONE company, and the rest are mainly marketing tools that online marketers can benefit from, and yes some just happen to have an opportunity attached to them, however the only place you’ll see them from me is on my blog or website, not in an email marketing campaign, online advertising, or any of that because they are NOT my focus or my income.

It kinda goes back to the saying I”m sure you’ve heard ‘keep doing what you’ve always done and keep getting what you’ve always got” or “Insanity equals doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” In most cases if not all it just doesn’t happen. When you have a problem (not enough income or a faltering home business) and are looking for the solution, you don’t keep opening the same door over and over and expecting something different on the other side each time you open it… it’s always the SAME thing behind that door every time.

So what DO you do to STOP being your own worse enemy?

• Stop following the crowd
• Stop chasing one thing after another in hopes of getting a different result
• Close your eyes to all the shiny things that pop up in your inbox with promises of riches
• Stop following those people that are sending you a new program every day or week, even if it’s ONLY 29.95 to start.

There are no fast roads to riches for most on the internet (or any business). It takes time, patience, dedication, commitment, learning new skillsets, training, and stickability. Don’t treat dreams for financial freedom like a pasta test, throwing noodles against the wall to see which ones will stick. In most cases, they almost all eventually slide and fall off the wall or shrivel and dry up.
