So you want to build and grow your business on the internet.  There are alot of great tools and resources to help you build your network marketing or any other business you may be working online but you need to get your fundamental things in place first.

Once you get the fundamentals in place, then it’s time to start marketing and building.

The Internet is a big place and one can often get lost out there : ) if were aren’t sure where we are going.  So what are the basics you need for building your business online?

Set Up A Simple Website For Yourself, you will want to do this even if you have a company or team website you are using.  These are great tools to have, but you want to have a page to build yourself, people want to get to know you first and then they want to learn more about what you have to offer.

There are lots of resources on the internet that will help you, even if you know nothing about building a website, html, or any of that.  Click here for a great little resource that will let you create a free website or blog, is simple to use and set up. Another popular one if you like flash (which keep in mind isn’t quite as search engine friendly) is wix.com and there are several more sitebuilder sites that you can search out and use if you prefer, but these 2 I think are the easiest to use.  Many places will give you a free site (you’ll need to set up a domain name first) and often times you will get to choose a domain name if you upgrade to one of their smaller packages.

If you haven’t gotten a domain name yet, I recommend Godaddy (Special Sale! 35% off .com domains at GoDaddy.com! ) because it’s the easiest to use in my opinion from every aspect.

In fact, even if you have a company site, it is a great idea to get your own domain name and have it forward or redirect to the site rather than giving out your long company website address with your username.  Instead choose a catchy little domain name and have it forward to your company site.

Get an Autoresponder System - Once you get your website set up you will want to look at getting an autoresponder to create a followup system with your visitors. This is an imperative step for your website and building your list! You will have people coming to your website and without this step you will have no way to capture their information and you won’t know who was visiting your site and you won’t be able to followup with them.   You can do a search for autoresponders and you’ll come up with several, I prefer using Aweber if you want to keep it simple.

If you are familiar with installing scripts and uploading them to your site and setting them up, you can go that route as well.  But get an autoresponder so you can followup and build your list!

Once you do that, let’s get ready to market….
